Born in October, 1901 to Charles Lester Leiter and Ida Leiter (nee Wheeler). Helen's siblings were Stella Evelyn, Rufus, Leroy Markle and Alice Leiter.
She met and fell in love with Reed Wesley Price and on August 4, 1919 they were both married at the young age of seventeen in Protection Kansas. Reed and Helen shared a wonderful life together and were happily married for 53 years until his death in March of 1972.
Reed and Helen had four children. Gwendolyn Aline, born in 1919, Vernon Reed born in 1922, a stillborn son born in 1923, and Earl Victor born in 1928.
Helen worked for the Western Light and Telephone company in Caldwell located at 16 South Main. She loved to laugh, enjoyed a good game of Bridge, and during the 1950's owned her own clothing store in Caldwell Kansas. Her grandchildren whom she was very proud of were never short of nice things to wear.
They are buried in Protection Cemetery alongside their infant son.
