Patricia Mary Reed was born on July 25, 1930, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, in the union of Ed and Equilla (Soward) Reed. The Reed family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1937, and Patricia became a member of St. Benedict the Moor Parish in 1938 and was baptized Clara on March 18, 1939. Patricia attended school at St. Benedict, until she left the school during the historic snowstorm of Milwaukee in 1947. Patricia's favorite classes were science, general math, and ancient history. In her own words, Patricia stated "St. Benedict was good for me. The school made me a better person."
Patricia was united in Holy Matrimony to Matthew Crumble on May 7, 1949. This union was blessed with four children. Patricia worked for the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex for 27 years as a CNA and retired in 1990. Patricia was a girl scout leader, a Community Advocate, and a Union Representative for Milwaukee County. She was also a parish council member for St. Benedict, she helped with Community Meal, and all four of her children, and two great-grandchildren were baptized there. She attended church every Sunday she could. After the pandemic in 2020, she became a virtual member. Patricia enjoyed dogs, bowling, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and watching the news, sports, and game shows!
Patricia Crumble went home to Christ on February 29, 2024. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Odessa, Teanna, and Lucy, brother Edward, daughters Janis and Gloria, son Dennis, daughter-in-law Delores, and grandson Richard. Patricia is survived by one sister, one son, a son-in-law , seven grandchildren , eight great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and many friends.
