Erika Lynn Metcalf
March 11, 1972 - April 24, 2008

Erika went to sleep last Wednesday night and went to be in Heaven with Jesus. She was in the process of planning a missionary trip to Uganda Africa in June. Erika was a people person and loved helping others. She had been the city clerk in Halsey, OR, for several years until persistent headaches made her time off work more frequent, and she quit to work in missions.

Erika is survived by her husband of 15 years, Dwayne; two sons, Jon and Josh; and a daughter, Rebekah "Bek". She had one brother who lives in Utah and her mom and dad, Randall and Diane Shipman, of Independence, OR. She had one living grandmother and 40 aunts and uncles. She was so close to most of the aunts and uncles, they felt like siblings. With that many aunts and uncles there are too many cousins to begin counting. Erika was very comfortable being a part of such a large family.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 28th, at the Salem Vineyard Church. Burial in Belcrest Cemetery.
