Professional Wrestler. Before becoming Ole Anderson, Rogowski became a star in his high school's football & amateur wrestling team. By 1967, he finished his training under Verne Gagne in the training camp for the American Wrestling Association (AWA), working around the Midwest region. Then, he went on to work for Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling based in Calgary, which lasted for two weeks before his greater success came about in the Mid-Atlantic region for Jim Crockett, Jr and for Jim Barnett in Georgia. He became an Anderson when he was paired with Gene Anderson; the duo became The Minnesota Wrecking Crew and had a highly successful run in both Georgia & the Carolinas. After the duo broke up, he became a singles star and focused on the behind-the-scenes aspect of the business, thus becoming a booker. During the mid-1980s, when Vince McMahon Jr bought his territory out, he went to work for Jim Crockett's Promotions as a tag team partner of Arn Anderson and, shortly after that, became an inaugural member of the infamous 4 Horsemen stable of Ric Flair Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard & JJ Dillion. He retired from wrestling in 1990. He trained several other successful professional wrestlers from the 1970s to the early 1990s, including his son, Bryant. He was married once. He and his wife had seven children before their divorce. At the time of his death, he had been with partner Marcha Cain for more than two decades. He died in 2024 from complications of multiple sclerosis.
