P. W. Brown
Progressive Truck Grower and Merchant Died Monday
P. W. Brown, for many years one of Beaufort County's most progressive truck growers and merchants, died at the Beaufort county hospital Monday morning. He had been in poor health for some time, but was stricken seriously only Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were held at four-thirty o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Evergreen cemetery, with the Rev. Robert P. Turner, pastor of the Carteret Street Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the cemetery. Mr. Brown moved to Beaufort county 21 years ago from Bullock county, Georgia.
Surviving are the widow; three sisters, Mrs. P. T. Brannon of Stilson, GA; Mrs. T. L Sherrod, of Savannah; and four brothers, R. H, Brown, of Augusta, GA; E. H. and N. B. Brown of Beaufort, and D. A. Brown of Spokane, Wash.
