He was a native of Coaldale, PA and lived in Lake Charles for over fifty years. Mr. Salvador retired from Sears after over thirty-six years of service. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean War and a life member of VFW Post #2130. Mr. Salvador was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. After his retirement, Ed enjoyed fishing on the Calcasieu River and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Stalsby Salvador; three sons, Edward J. Salvador, Jr., James B. Salvador and wife Melissa, and Christopher A. Salvador and wife Kimberly all of Lake Charles; one daughter, Karen T. Derise and husband Gary of Rockford, MI; *(five) grandchildren, Jessica Baker, Jade, Kristian, Spencer and Connor Salvador, and (step-grandchildren) Ashley and Kelsey Ory, and four great grandchildren; one brother, Emil Francis Salvador and one sister, Rose Marie Salvador both of Harrisburg, PA.
His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Dan Landry will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, with a rosary at 6:00 PM and continue from 8:00 AM until time of service, Wednesday, in the funeral home.
