G. LaVelle Grimes Tucker, 94, died February 24, 2008, in Sweet Home, Linn County, OR.
A viewing was held Tuesday evening, February 26, 2008 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. At her request no formal service will be held. A private burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Lebanon.
She was born November 28, 1913, in Shelburn, the daughter of Frank and Lola (Faulkner) Grimes. She moved to Lebanon, Linn County, OR when she was three years old. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1932.
She married Leland Tucker on January 13, 1940. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors Lodge in Lebanon.
She is survived by her sister Glenna Andross of Lebanon; grandson Evan Tucker of Arizona; great-granddaughter Marissa; nephews tom and Steve Andross of Lebanon; niece Sherri Myronenko of Lebanon; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Her husband Leland Tucker, son Dwight Tucker and sister Jean Pierce died before she did.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to The Leukemia Society Oregon Chapter in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant Street, Lebanon, OR.
