Obituary •
Brenda 'Gail' Hughes, 77, of Hartwell, Georgia, previously of Mableton, Georgia, passed away February 7, 2024. She was the owner and operator of Cobb Fastener Systems for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Cobb Rotary Club for many years.
Gail was known to have a green thumb and took great pleasure in caring for her plants and garden. She also loved animals, especially her dogs. She was known as the 'dog whisperer' and never met a dog she didn't like.
Above all, Gail loved spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. She adored her grandson, Dylan, and was proud of his commitment to the United States Navy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney, and Mary Elizabeth 'Liz' /Lyle/ Hughes. Gail is survived by her significant other, Ray Burt of Hartwell, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law Sherri and Jeff Rigdon of Douglasville, Georgia; son Kerry Jordan of Douglasville; grandson Dylan Carney of Augusta, Georgia.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
