Bryon Comdon Luther was born January 15, 1894, in Bellaire, Antrim County, Michigan his parents were Wesley Charles Luther and Elizabeth Comdon. Between 1900 and 1910 He went to live with Edmund (Edwin) Wicks-Alice Jane Wooley, he is on 1910 census listed as their adopted son. Bryon Wicks married Grace E. Starks March 25, 1916 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan they had a son Charles Wesley Wicks born September 18, 1917. On the Michigan 1920 and 1930 Census Bryon was a Brakeman for the railroad. Grace Wicks died September 5, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Kent Couty, Michigan. Bryon married Lucille Alice Bryne December 19,1936 in Greeneville, Montcalm County, Michigan at this time Bryon went back to his birth name of Luther. He is on the Michigan 1940 census as Bryon Luther in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan with Lucille and her daughter from previous marriage. Between 1940 and 1950 Bryon moved to California as he and Lucille are on the 1950 California census living in Los Angeles, Bryon's occupation was still a brakeman for the railroad. Until his death in 1957.
