Ray Brooks was the son of Perry Brooks and Emma Angeline Copas Brooks. He married Margaret Marshie Thompson Sept. 2, 1936, and had three children. They lived primarily in Cabin Creek, WV, before purchasing a small farm near Albany, OH. Ray worked many years in various coal mines and retired from Appalachian Power in 1976. Ray loved to farm, fish, walk his land, and tell funny stories.
