Wanda Lee Abbett, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away January 4, 2024. She was born September 28, 1932 in Carmel, Indiana to the late John C. and Edna (Rhoades) Platt.

Wanda was a 1950 graduate of Edinburgh High School. She married Thomas F. Abbett, and he preceded her in death April 16, 2001. Wanda was a former member of Cumberland United Methodist Church where she was the church secretary and is a current member of Brookville Road Community Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. Wanda was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting, quilting and gardening; and made friends easily everywhere she went.

Wanda is survived by her children, Tom Abbett and Elizabeth Helvie (Jon); eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Bryson; and niece, Barbara Klein
