He retired as Maintenance Supervisor with the Visador Corporation in Jasper after many years of service. He was a longtime member and former Fire Chief of The Jasper Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Jean Williams; daughter Judy Love; brother Walter "Herk" Williams; sister Mary F. Wheeler; five grandchildren of which he raised three as his own, Greg Davis, Terri Davis and Denise Griffith; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his son Jimmy Wayne Williams.
