Marguerite Mohrman, 103, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, at 10:30 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Bennett officiating.

Interment will be in Shell Creek Baptist Cemetery, rural Columbus.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Marguerite "Marge" Mohrman was born June 28, 1920, in Nance County, Nebraska, to Albert and Jennie (Nelson) Stenzel.

She attended School District #32 through the 10th grade, 11th grade at Kramer High School in Columbus, and graduated from Monroe High School, Monroe, Nebraska, in 1938.

She worked for Mr. Hoge at the Platte County Court House for one year and on September 24, 1940, Marge was united in marriage to Wilbert Mohrman in Monroe.

The couple farmed west of Columbus until his death in 1986. Marge remained on the farm until 2008, when she moved to Columbus.

Marge was a member of Highland Park Church and was led by God to help missionaries go to several countries to spread the Gospel of salvation.

Marge is survived by nieces and nephews.

Brother – Willis Stenzel
Sister – Arlene Kummetz
Sister – Vera Kelly.

1940 Wedding to Wilbert J. Mohrman
Tuesday at 2:30 p. Miss Mar-ugerite A. Stenzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Albert Stenzel of Monroe, became the bride of Wil-bert J. Mohrman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mohrman of Monroe. Rev.

M. DeBoer, pastor of the Shell Creek Baptist church, read the marriage lines for the double ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate families. They were attended by the bride's sister, Arlene, and brother, Willis, and the groom's brother, Edward, and Miss Lauretta Lewis of Columbus. The vows were plighted before an improvised altar of ferns, glad-iolas, and sylvias. The bride chose a street length dress of soldier blue knitted silk-wool.

In carrying out the old tradition "Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue" the bride carried an aid handkerchief borrowed from her sister Vera. Her dress was new and blue. She wore a corsage of pink American Beauty roses and Mock Orange blossoms. The bridesmaid's dresses were also of soldier blue knitted silk-wool and both carried corsages of red carnations. The bridegroom and his attendants wore dark suits.

The bridegroom wore a white carnation boutonniere and his attendants wore pink carnations. Mrs. Mohrman was graduated from the Monroe high school with the class of 1938. She was employed for a time at the Soil Conservation office and in the sheriff's office. For the past year she has been at home.

Mr. Mohrman graduated from Humphrey High school with the class of 1936. He has been salesman for the J. C. Penney Co.

and for Montgomery Ward Co. For the past year he has been farming. A pre-nuptial linen shower was held in honor of Miss Stenzel at the home of her parents, Monday afternoon. Thirty friends attended. Following a social after-
