Survivors include her mother; loving husband, Michael Hawkins; son, Lenden Paul Axel; brother, Derrick Sonnier and his wife, Kimberly; sisters, Saundra Johnson and her husband, Joel, Kathy Hubert and her husband, Alvin, and Marissa Robertson; brother, Lawrence Smith; sisters, Kristen Smith, Theresa, Ava Wrice, Trina; brother, Mike Perkins, Sr.; godparents, Alfred James Guillory, and Doreen Guillory; godchildren, Kordell David, Payton Anderson, Sevn Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Sonnier; brother, Chuck Perkins, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Bee and Mary Guillory; and paternal grandparents, John and Lovenia Sonnier.
A gathering of Mrs. Sonnier's family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m., and a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2023, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
