Sally Ingram was the 2nd wife of John Biffle. They were married in North Carolina before 1812 (their son Leander was born in 1812). By 1817, he and his family had moved to DeKalb County, Georgia, where he built a gristmill and organized Macedonia Baptist Church. On September 20, 1817, he applied for and received his dismissal from Newfound Church in North Carolina. John's 1st wife has not been identified. They had a total of 8 children including William (1791-1861), Goldman John (1796-1861), Delila (1801-1900), and Catherine (1805-1888).
