Son of Franklin S. Singleton and Martha McCall. Thomas was first married to Martha "Mattie" Biggers. Mattie is reported to have died ca. 1882 in either Wise, Motague or Bowie county. Mattie's grave has not been located to-date.

Tom's second wife was Elizabeth "Lizzie" Aberdeen Victoria Bussey (1862-1930) Thomas and Lizzie were married 22 Aug 1883 in Shelby County, Texas.
