Samantha Noelle Gibson, 6, of 290 Cardinal Court died Friday, July 29, 2005, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Dec. 8, 1998, in Madison, the daughter of Michael G. and Kimberly D. Moreland Gibson.
She attended kindergarten at Rykers' Ridge Elementary School.
She is survived by her parents; one sister, Whitney Gibson; her maternal grandparents, Martha and James Smith of Hanover; her paternal grandparents, Clifford and Doris Gibson of Hanover; her maternal great-grandmothers, Almyra Calvert of Hanover and Norma Moreland of Madison; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Tony Moreland in 1973; her maternal great-grandfather John Calvert in 1984; and her paternal great-grandparents, Willie and Mary Gibson, and Elzie and Mary Kiser.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home, Hanover Chapel. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home.
