Azerbaijani Politician. He served as the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan from May 16, 1992 to January 26, 1993. He studied at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys from 1953 through 1959, obtaining a degree in Metallurgy Engineering. From 1959 to 1962, he worked at various positions at the Azerbaijan Pipe Manufacturing Factory. He went on to serve on various government committees before becoming the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers from 1989 to 1992. In 1992, he was appointed prime minister and went on to serve in this position for eight months until being forced out in January of 1993.
