Nicholas Mark Nelson was born in Houston, Texas to the late Sharon M. Alexander of Waller, Texas and Ben Jerry Gage of Hempstead, Texas.

Nicholas attended Waller High School and Cypress Creek High School. Nick was the baby boy who grew to be the loving father of one daughter, Kaydence Alexander (his princess) and two sons, Khristian and Chanse Alexander. Affectionately called Nick or Rico, he was humble, chill and easy-going. He was known to be a walking fashion statement, took pride in his shoe-game, and was good from the shoulders (loved boxing). Nick will be remembered for his giving spirit, big, beautiful smile, and his ugly laugh.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon M. Alexander. Grandparents: Romeo J. Alexander, Sr., and Orelia Alexander; Earnest and Hattie Gage.

Nicholas leaves to cherish his memories: father, Ben Jerry Gage; brothers: Jonathan Alexander (DeAndria), Benjamin Gage, Lonnie Bevins (Demetra), Lee Momon, Derrick Tucker, Ben Jerry Gage, Jr., Ben Gage (Rhonda); sisters: Briana Gage, Tiana Alexander, Shereka Curtis and Kamil Chapman (Kendrick).

To carrying out his namesake sons, Khristian and Chanse Alexander; daughter, Kaydence Alexander; nephews and nieces, Elijah Hill, Peyton Gage, Jeremiah Lee, Josiah Lee, Cianiee Lee, Kaisan Alexander, Jairon Lee and Carter Gage; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends, whom all he loved dearly.

Visitation was on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Singleton and Sons Funeral Home, 627 New Orleans Street, Hempstead, Texas 77445. Funeral service was held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Bailey Chapel Church of God in Christ, 3004 Sledge Street, Waller, Texas 77484. Gravesite services followed at the Oakwood Cemetery in Hempstead, Texas.
