Charles E. Briggs, Sr., 80, died Monday morning at his home on Ninth Avenue.
He leaves one son, Charles Briggs, Jr., one stepson Joe Bonifay, five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Simmons, Mrs. Lilly Williams, Miss Ada Briggs, Mrs. Margaret Vallia and Mrs. Idell Herring all of Pensacola and two brothers, Tom of Miami and Frank of California.
Funeral services will be held today at 4:30 p.m. from the home of this daughter, Mrs. Vallia, on the Ninth avenue road with the Rev. A. R. Robertson of First Christian church officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Frank Bonifay, Clyde Cantrell, Malcom Giri, Raymond Vallia, Willie Donaldson and Frank Giri.
Burial will be in New Hope cemetery, with Fisher-Pou directing.
