DUBLIN, Ga. Two Man- chester residents returning to school at Georgia Southern College in Statesboro were involved in a one car accident near here Sunday which resulted in the death of the driver, 17-year-old Donald Lamar Meadows.Meadows was dead on ar- rival at Laurens Memorial Hospital, Dublin, after his car skidded across the grass median of Interstate 16 and struck a bridge six miles west of Dublin around 7 p.m. Sunday according to the state patrol office in Dublin. Wanda Ousley, 17, Manchester, a passenger in Meadow's car, was transferred from Laurens Memorial Hospital to Macon Hospital, where she was reported in fair condition.
Funeral for Meadows was to be today at 2 p.m. at St. James Methodist Church, with burial in the Manchester City Cemetery.
Mr. Meadows was born Aug. 13, 1953, in LaGrange, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Meadows. He had lived in Manchester all his life, was a graduate of Manchester High School and a student at Georgia Southern College, Statesboro.
Other survivors include a brother, Rod G. Meadows, Manchester.
