Agnes Mildred Bartos (nee Zubek), passed peacefully away on Friday, July 24, 2009 at the age of 91. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at St. Robert Catholic Church, Flushing, Michigan with Fr. Louis Ekka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Robert Cemetery, Flushing. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home, Flushing, and 9:30 a.m. at the church on Monday until the time of the Mass. A Vigil for the Deceased will be 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to The Sanctuary of Mercy Bellbrook, 873 West Avon Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307.

Agnes was born to Joseph and Marie Zubek (nee Miskerik) on April 4, 1918 in New Lothrop, Michigan. Agnes spent most of her life in the Corunna, Michigan area helping her husband, Edward, on the farm. She was also involved as a 4-H Club leader with all her children. Later, she was in charge of the bakery at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Agnes spent the last four years of her life as a resident of The Sanctuary of Mercy Bellbrook Retirement Community in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

She is survived by her four children; sons, Kenneth (Mary Ann Hazen) of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Richard (Peggy) of Corunna, Michigan, and Edward (Patti) of Ada, Michigan; daughter, Barbara Chenault (Paul) of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; sisters, Mary and Frances; and brothers, Joseph and Martin.
