Kate Prudence (Shaddock) Walthall was born to Burrell Shaddock and Lula Octavia (Crowder) Shaddock on December 28, 1909, in Holly Springs, Dallas County, Arkansas.
She married Sampson Leonard Walthall on September 22, 1926.
They were parents of six children.
Five daughters: Jessie Faye, Marjorie Louise, Ola Irene, Willie Burrell, and Christine (Teenie); one son, Talmadge Dean Walthall.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Sampson L. Walthall; her parents, Burrell Shaddock and Lulu Octavia Crowder Shaddock; seven brothers, Henry D. Shaddock, Harold D. Shaddock, R. Harley Shaddock, Jesse G. Shaddock, A. Clark Shaddock, C. Elmer Shaddock and D. Kenneth Shaddock; four sisters, Elsie M. Shaddock, Marjorie L. Hawkins, Amy O. Rogers and Francis R. Shaddock.
She is survived by five daughters, Jessie Faye Kappaz and husband Rev. George Kappaz, Louise Robertson, Irene Tuorila and husband A. J., Willie Burrell (Billie) Black and husband B. W., all of Newton, Texas, and Christine (Teenie) Krist and husband Bob of Springfield, Missouri;one son, Talmadge Dean Walthall of Rose City, Texas; one sister Eleanor Williams of Newton, Texas.
She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Newton, Newton County, Texas, for many years.
