Sheri J. Foltz, 60, of Patoka passed away Friday, October 20, 2023. She was born on May 3, 1963, the daughter of Jack and Norma (Crites) Umfleet in Olney, Illinois.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Norma Umfleet.

Sheri was hard-working, dedicated, and proud to partner with her husband to care for and prosper their farm. There was no task too large or too small for her to handle with precision and efficiency. Sheri had a heart for animals and was known to adopt any lost and lonely pet, treating them as part of the family. She was a gracious listener, who instinctively knew when to offer words of wisdom and encouragement, and when to just be present in silence. Sheri found it such a wonderful blessing to be a Mom and counted spending time with Sarah and Jakob as the highlight of any day. Sheri was beautiful inside and out, generous, kind, and anyone who met her felt the benefits of her bright light.

A private service was held at Harrison Cemetery to honor the impact of Sheri's life. Memorials may be made in Sheri's honor to the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted for the family at Macz Funeral Home 234 South Elm St. Centralia, Il 62801. Online condolences and memories of Sher may be shared with the family by visiting www.maczfuneralhomes.com and/or on the funeral home's Facebook page. Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval has been privileged to be assisting the family with arrangements.
