Jane A. (Walker) Weiler, age 90, of Sylvania, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Ebeid Hospice Residence.

Jane was born October 21, 1920, to Ralph and Pauline (Baldwin) Walker, in Bruin, PA.

She and her husband, Robert opened their first restaurant, the Dag-Wood Diner, on the corner of Monroe and Secor. It was later rebuilt and introduced as Betsy Ross which their son, Don joined after college.

After the restaurant closed and Jane retired in 2001, she enjoyed traveling in her son's motor home, stopping to visit friends and family on their way to winter in Florida.

Jane especially loved Key West where she was determined to find the most delicious slice of Key Lime pie.

She will be deeply missed by her many friends and remembered for her warm and welcoming personality.

She is survived by her son: Donald (Jym Shipman) Weiler, of Toledo and was preceded in death by her husband, of 60 years: Robert F. Weiler; brother: Robert Walker; and her parents.

Visitation will be at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, from 3-7 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 PM. Entombment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the Toledo Animal Shelter. Words of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.reebfuneralhome.com
