Andrew served with Company G, 33rd Wisconsin Infantry in the Civil War. He enlisted from Beetown on 8/18/1862 and was mustered out 8/8/1865 in southern Alabama. His burial site in Nowata Cemetery contains his Civil War plaque displaying his Civil War affiliation.
