Trenton Eldridge Ackerman, Sr., 92, widower of Dorothy Lou Forte Ackerman, passed away in West End, North Carolina on October 4, 2023.

He was the son of the late John Benjamin Ackerman, Sr. and Pauline Wilson Ackerman of Honey Hill, South Carolina.

He is survived by his children, Julie A. James (Paul), Trenton E. Ackerman, Jr. (Cindy), and Jeffrey C. Ackerman (Kerri); grandchildren, Alison J. McCloskey (Michael), Ann Marie J. Harris (Cameron), Lindsey A. Meahl (Jason), Caleb Ackerman (Brooke), Jeremy Ackerman (fiancee Kate), Jacob Ackerman, and James Ackerman; great-grandchildren, Ryland McCloskey, Alice Meahl, Ian Meahl, and Paisley Ackerman; two sisters, Gail Bunch and Peggy Cooper.

He is preceded in death by eight sisters, three brothers, and Michelle Ackerman, daughter-in-law. There will be a private, family interment.
