The quintessential Instructor - Air Force Drill Instructor (1951), taught Advanced Electronics at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi Mississippi (1952-52). Later became an instructor for New Jersey Bell, teaching microwave technology. He was most proud of time he spent with the neighborhood kids in East Hanover - from teaching them how to properly hold a pair of pilers to exactly when to let off the clutch to start an engine from a rolling start! His star pupil was, of course, his wife - teaching her how to fly their 1946 Ercoupe; she later solo'd as one of the very first female pilots at Hanover Airport! Teaching came natural, he once said "they pay me to have fun standing at the blackboard" ... :)
