Regina Deib Rainwater was born Feb. 8, 1914, to John and Kathryn Dieb in Fort Worth. She was the second youngest of two brothers and five sisters, all now deceased. She graduated from Fort Worth Central High School and married Walter J. Rainwater. They were married over 60 years when he passed away in 1995.
Regina lived all of her life in south Fort Worth. She retired from J.C. Penney at Seminary South after 25 years service in the clothing department. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Gina deeply loved her family. Her hobbies included writing poetry (especially retirement poems for her co-workers at Penney's), feeding her birds and working crossword puzzles. She loved to cook authentic Lebanese recipes, which she learned to cook as a child.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful people who have helped care for Gina in her twilight years. Everyone at Rainwater Inc., Broadway Plaza and Vitas Hospice Care. Thank you so very much.
Survivors: Sons, Walter Rainwater Jr. and Richard Rainwater and their wives, Lori and Darla, respectively; grandchildren, Kelley, Kathryn, Courtney, Todd and Mathew Rainwater; sister-in-law, Millie Dieb; and many loving nieces, nephews and their children.
