He had a long career as a pilot including chief pilot for two Mississippi governors, chief pilot for McRae's Department Store, later Saks Fifth Avenue.
Ben was a proud member of the CAF, was a skilled aerobatic pilot, flying with the North American Aerobatic Team, then the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, and a certified flight instructor and A&P mechanic.
