Charles R. "Chuck" Gallagher, 89, of Chesterfield, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one brother and a son, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Blackmon Gallagher; sons, Charles Patrick and Jeffrey; step-sons, Lawrence and Randy Blackmon; grandsons, Zachary, Jeremy and Charles; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandy, Lavina, Gene, Michael and Tamara; and aunt and uncle, Dottie and Donald Berry. He will also be missed by his favorite little companion, Sassy. Mr. Gallagher was a proud U. S. Army veteran who retired as a Sergeant Major after 34 years of service. A funeral ceremony will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull St. Rd., followed by interment in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
