Marine Lance Cpl. Troy D. Nealey, 24, of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, Lansing, Mich.; killed Oct. 29 while conducting combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq. Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas and Doris Squires, Neil Rogers and Larry Nealey. He is survived by his parents, Norman and Annette Nealey of Eaton Rapids; two brothers, Todd and Michael Nealey, both of Eaton Rapids; grandmothers, Barbara Rogers of Eaton Rapids, Lois Nealey of Lansing; aunts and uncles, Mark and Priscilla Rogers of Eaton Rapids, Roy and Gwen Rogers, Russell and Shannon Rogers, Maurica Brown all of Charlotte, Marcia and Brian Kemper of Eaton Rapids, Ralph Squires of Wyoming, Cathy and Harold Wuerfel of Rockford, Neal and Teann Rogers of Enning, S.D., Noel Rogers of Eaton Rapids, Nola and Mark Auernhamer of Newfane, N.Y., Robert Squires of Grandview, Tenn., Sally and Johnny Whaley of Cullman, Ala., Kenneth and Ruth Nealey of Lansing, Douglas and Loretta Nealey of Centerville, Ohio, David and Melissa Nealey of Scottsdale, Ariz., Kathryn and Tom Spurlock of Downingtown, Penn., Penny and Tony Dolata of Maricopa, Ariz., Peter and Sharon Hubley of Washington, DC, Paul Hubley of Phoenix, Ariz., Rocky and Leigh Tyler of Eaton Rapids; special friend, Lauren Wood of Mason, and oodles of cousins and friends. Funeral services were held November 11, 2006 at the Eaton Rapids High School Gym with Rev. Scott Boles officiating. Interment followed at Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids.
