Lifelong Tuolumne Resident, Succumbs
Tuolumne City – Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM tomorrow at
Community Methodist Church here for Henry Irwin Singley, 67, lifelong resident of Tuolumne City who died at Sonora hospital yesterday morning.
Singley, in ill health the past two years, underwent three operations in the past five weeks while hospitalized.
Singley was born in Gross (sic) Valley and came to Tuolumne City at an early age. He married Nettie Cody here and was employed by a lumber company many years.
In addition to his widow, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Irene James and Mrs. Nettie Lou Dye of Tuolumne City; five sons, Henry and James Singley of Tuolumne City, Lawrence I. Singley of Oroville, William E. Singley of Jackson and Walter Singley of Fresno; his step mother, Mrs. Annie Singley of Roseville and a half sister, Mrs. Nettie Dahl of Roseville.
Rev. Walter Squires will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Carter's Cemetery here.
