Surgeon's Death Being Probed
Central District police today were investigating the death of Dr. LeRoy R. Stoddard, New York city plasctic surgeon, who was found dead in bed in his room at the Emerson Hotel last night.
Kemp C. Gatling, a room clerk, told the police that he went up to the room when he was informed that Dr. Stoddard, who registered at the hotel March 15, had not been seen for some time. The body was removed to the city morgue, pending an examination by Dr. Howard J. Maldeis, medical examiner.
