Daniel C. Easthouse 1959 - 2008
Funeral services for Daniel C. Easthouse, 48, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow.
Mr. Easthouse died Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home, following a long battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 24, 1959, in Topeka, the son of Vernon and Helen King Easthouse. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1977 and later attended Kansas University.
Mr. Easthouse was a self-employed drywall finisher for 25 years in northeast Kansas.
He played softball and served at an assistant coach for the Bruins, a fourth-grade city league basketball team.
Mr. Easthouse married Barbara A. Weishaar on April 30, 1983, in Nortonville. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Ken, Ben and David, all of Lawrence; his mother, of Merritt Island, Fla.; and a sister, Kay Nowak, Melbourne, Fla.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
