Travis went down on the Ferris Wheel obstacle, he made the Atlanta city finals.
Known as the "Hot Blooded Ninja", Travis conquered that obstacle, but Up for Grabs ended his run. He didn't make the cut for national as a result. Ninja Quest gym called him a "loving coach and friend" in a memorial post to him.
On September 8, 2021, Ninja Quest, a gym where Rust worked as a coach, announced on their Instagram page that Rust had passed away on August 29th after a motorcycle accident. According to the post, he was not considered the cause of the crash. He was 29 years old.
