Walter Bryant "Dub" Dulin, Sr., 95, of Denver City, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 in Lubbock.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 13, 2008, at 2 p.m., in the Bethel Baptist Church, with the Reverend Randy Gooch officiating. A Masonic Graveside Service will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

He was born April 21, 1912, to Bryant Lawrence and Ella Ruth Webb Dulin, in Ranger, Stephens County, Texas.

He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as a member of the Shriners.

He is survived by four children, Ella Mae Braziel of Lubbock, LaNell Stahl and husband Richard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mary Ward of Denver City, and Walter Bryant Dulin, Jr. and wife Karen of Granite Shoals; and three stepsons, Bob Elam and wife Lola of Plains, Ronnie Elam and wife Mary of Oklahoma, along with David Elam and wife Ann of Farmington, N.M. There are ten grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Dub was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Buford L. Dulin, Casner Allen "Skeet" Dulin, and Curtis B. Nation. Blanche Maple Currey Dulin, his first wife, and Norma Elam Dulin, his second wife, preceded him in death. Also he was preceded in death by an infant great grandson.


Walter Bryant "Dub" Dulin was the eldest child of Bryant Lawrence Dulin, d. 1957 and buried in this same cemetery. Dub Dulin was also the brother of Buford Lawrence Dulin, Sr. and Casner A. "Skeet" Dulin, both also buried this same cemetery.
