Edward James Hawkins (Ted) passed away in Fergus, Ontario November 5, 2017. He would have been 84 on November 24. Born in Port Arthur in 1933, Ted travelled the country extensively with work in his youth. He resided in Terrace Bay with Jean for many years, before finally settling in Fergus. Ted was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in his younger years. He loved his family, gardening, woodworking, billiards, darts, music, and action movies. He was a devoted and loving husband and father, filled with caring, compassion, and a great sense of humour. Predeceased by parents Edward & Marka Hawkins, sister Shirley Gaggiano and nephew Dean Gaggiano. Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean Connor, daughter Lesli (Hank) Schelling, grandchildren Chris (Tasha) Schelling, Dylan Schelling, sister Jennifer (Lorne) Everett, brother-in-law Jon Murray, nieces, nephews and good friends Shawn Bursey and Kim Lesperance. According to Ted's wishes, there will be no service.
