Former Alaska resident Archie Ned Hutchison, 57, died Dec. 9, 1996, in Boise, Idaho, of injuries suffered in an airplane crash. A funeral was conducted Saturday at Broadview Church of the Nazarene in Broadview, N.M. Burial took place at Grady Cemetery in Grady, N.M. The officiant was Rick Hutchison.

Mr. Hutchison was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Tucumcari, N.M. He moved to Anchorage as a child with his family, and he attended Anchorage schools. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and served as an officer with the Anchorage Police Department for 20 years. After retiring in 1984, he went to work for Northern Air Cargo as a pilot. Eight years later, in 1992, he left the state. He settled in Arkansas for four years before moving to New Mexico. Most recently, he worked as a pilot for Desert Air.

He is survived by his sons, Greg of Moses Lake, Wash., Cory and Clint of Ocean Shores, Wash.; daughter, Cari of Ocean Shores; brothers, Benjamin of Belleflower, Calif., Elmer of Amarillo, Texas, Johnnie of Everett, Wash., and Fred of Elma, Wash.; sister, Marie Shaw of Fresno, Calif.
