Bob was the son of Barney B. and Rena G. (Spradling) Phillips. He spent his whole life in Greenville, Texas except for the period of time that he spent in the Coast Guard during WWII (4/29/1942 - 10/18/1945). He married Beatrice Ann Supino on Feb. 26, 1945 in Staten Island, NY. They settled in Greenville and raised three children, Mark, R.Kent and Susan. He retired after 25 years working for E-Systems of Greenville (now L-3). He was a good, hard-working man who cherished his family and his community. He is deeply missed.
