Mrs.Dorothy Abell, 25,wife of Wilbur Abell,formerly of Decatur and now of Bingham, died late Sunday night in St.Francis hospital in Litchfield, afer a three weeks illness of chronic nephritis.
Dorothy Ray was born in Tower Hill,Aug. 4, 1906 the daughter of Rev. and Mrs.B.F.Ray. She was graduated from the Cowden high school and later attended Greenville college at Akron university in Akron, Ohio. She taught Latin one term in the Spring Harbor Seminary at Spring Harbor,Mich.
She was married Aug. 17,1928 to Wilbur Abell at Lewistown. She leaves besides her husband and parents,two children Marion,age two and Muriel Frances age three weeks. She also leaves one brother,Ebey Ray,Terre Haute, Ind. and four sisters,Mrs.Ruthe Stuflebeam,Mrs.AvisBarry,Miss Marguerita Ray and Miss Frances Ray all of Lewistown. Mrs. Abell was a member of the Free Methodist church at Pana.
The body was brought to the Monson funeal home in Decatur Monday morning and later was removed to the resident of Mr. and Mrs.D.P.Abell, 949 W. View street where friends may call. Funeral services will be at 2:30pm Tuesday in the Free Methodist church. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
