Maggie was the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Stivender) Holman. She was the sister of Indiana and Mary Frances "Fannie". She married Daniel Jacob Thomas (buried at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Montgomery Co, TX.). They had Ella Carlin, Daniel Aiken, Charles Powell, Cara Bell, Carrie Ann, Hallie H., and Maggie C.

Maggie and her husband, Daniel J. Thomas, came to Texas from Blackville, Barnwell Co., SC in 1875. They first settled in New Waverly in Walker Co., then moved to near Willis in Montgomery County where they spent the rest of their lives.
