Union, July 10 - His friends at and near Union were distressed to learn that Mr Roy Houff died in a Staunton hospital last Thursday morning, July 2. He was taken violently ill here of pleurisy and pneumonia with obscure complications, and on the night of June 29 was conveyed to Staunton by his mother, Mrs Houff and his uncles, the Messrs Brennaman. The deceased was a son of the late Robert Houff, of Augusta county, Va, and was about 24 years of age. He spent several months in this section of West Virginia engaged in installing the Pilot acetylent gas plant.
