Mr. James Gary Anderson, 59, of Rock Hill passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
Gary was born in Rock Hill, SC and the son of the late John Wesley Anderson, Jr. and Jessie Good Anderson. He was a lifetime member of Oakland Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Winthrop University and an amazing chef. As the former owner of ADS Construction, Gary realized his passion for cooking and pursued a career in restaurant management. Gary especially loved the South Carolina coast where he enjoyed fishing and golfing. Anyone who knew him agreed that his beautiful manners and huge heart made their lives richer. .
Gary is survived by his three daughters, Riley Anderson Leitner, husband Jack and 3 grandchildren; Alice Anderson Lavender, husband Jason; and Elliott Anne Anderson, all of Rock Hill, SC. He also leaves his brothers, John W. Anderson, wife, Glennis; Thomas J. Anderson, wife Carol; David G. Anderson, wife Mary; and a sister Jan A. Cochran, husband Kenny, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 1, 2016 at Oakland Presbyterian Church.
