Jack Bernard Abrams, died on July 14, 2023 at the age of 98! As a veteran of both World War II and the Korean conflict, he understood the importance of service to his country. As a policeman and fireman in his professional life, he understood the value of community. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather he understood the love for family.

Born on June 1, 1925 in Manhattan, Jack grew up in Island Park, New York and served as a lifeguard and graduated from high school in Oceanside. After serving in Europe during World War II, he returned to meet the love of his life Rita Dillman. Married 65 years, their union produced three children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his wife Rita and his eldest son Jack Jr. He is survived by his children The Rev. Ronald Abrams and his wife Kathleen and his daughter Carol Ann Rothstein and her husband Mark. Five grandchildren Kyle Abrams and his wife Laura, Ryan Abrams and his wife Lindsay, Danielle Rothstein, Jaclyn Rothstein and her fiancé Bryan and Lauren Rothstein. Also surviving are his three precious great-grandchildren Oliver, Rowan and Jack.
