William "Bub" Anthony Caldwell was born Sept. 25, 1869 at his parents home in Edgewood, Siskiyou, CA. He never married. Was the 1st Veterinary in Siskiyou Co. Graduated from San Francisco Veterinary College in 1906-1907 (The college closes in 1918 after the big earthquake) In 1910 he goes back to college and becomes the 1st Siskiyou Co. Animal Surgeon and works from his home specializing in horses. His family donated his personal D.V.S. surgery trunk to the Weed Museum.
