The deceased was born on the farm in Town Schleswig on Nov 8, 1894. His wife is the former Meta Winkel. As a young man, he joined his father in operating the dairy farm which comprised nearly 300 acres. In 1915 the elder Thielke took his son into partnership with him and the name of the farm was registered as one of the first in the county. The Thielkes also established a milk route in Kiel which has many patrons.
Survivors are his wife; 5 daughters, Mrs Henry (Evelyn) Weinberger, at home; the Misses Gladys and Elaine Thielke, of Chicago; and the Misses Carol and Jeanne at home; and his father, F. F. Thielke. His mother, the former Minnie Voight, passed away March 15, 1940.
Services at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Louis Corners with burial in adjoining church cemetery.
