OBITUARY -A. Dean Blair (1925- 2006) HAMILTON, Ind. - A. Dean Blair, 80, of Hamilton, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn. Born Oct. 9, 1925, at Hamilton, to Lydia (Bell) and Arthur Blair, he married Garland Dohner on July 7, 1943, at the parsonage of the Methodist Church in Hamilton, and she survives. A self-employed carpenter until 1972, he then became the building trades teacher for six years at Hamilton High School until his retirement in 1987. He attended Hamilton Church of Christ in Hamilton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Steven (and wife, Carol) Blair of Hamilton and Ronald (Donna) Blair of Edgerton, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Judith) Baker of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Keith (Debra) Blair, Matthew (Amy) Blair, Carissa Blair, Julia Sindel, Jim (Vicki) Blair, Mrs. Kevin (Brenda) Beck, Dawn Foglesong, Brandon Nickols and Blair (Chris) Richardson; 13 great-grandchildren; and a stepsister, Mrs. Arnold (Joyce) Schaper of Ossian. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William LaVon Blair; a grandson-in-law, Rodney Lee Sindel; and a sister, Mary Jane Blair. Visitation will be held today from 2-8 p.m. in the Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Jeff Alexander to officiate. Burial will be in Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton. Memorials may be made to Hamilton Fire Dept. or the charity of the donor's choice.
