Vivian Kay Swim Maxwell, 68, was a daughter of Mildred Dotson Swim and the late Russell Clyde Swim. She was a 1957 graduate of Oxford High School and a received her bachelor's degree from International Business College of Fort Wayne in 1959.

Her first marriage was to John M. Sandefur, and they divorced. She then married Wesley I. Maxwell on April 27, 1985, in Linwood, and he survives.

She was a secretary/administrative assistant with Purdue University from 1967 to 1969. She worked for TRW Ross Gear from 1969 to 1986; Great Lakes Chemicals from 1989 to 2000; and for Bioanalytical Systems from 2000 to 2005 as a secretary/administrative assistant.

Mrs. Maxwell was a member of Oxford Church of Christ and the church's Friendship Circle Association. She also was a member of a singing group, the Musettes Club of Oxford.

She enjoyed shopping.

Surviving with her husband and mother are a daughter, Jonna Jusko (husband: Billy) of Hammond; two sons, Jeffrey Sandefur of West Point and James Sandefur (wife: Verna) of Lafayette; and a sister, Virginia Nordman (husband: Paul) of Lebanon.

Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 1 stepgrandchild, 1 great-grandchild and 1 stepgreat-grandchild.
