Voncyle O. Alexander - THUNDERBOLT - , 79, died July 8, 2013 under the care of Hospice Savannah. Von was born January 15, 1934 in Lawton, Oklahoma but lived in Thunderbolt for many years. Von worked in fashion for many years at Belk and J.C. Penney. Her greatest joy was working outside in her yard. Surviving are her husband and longtime Tybee Island businessman, Nickie Alexander; her stepson, Tyrone Alexander and wife (Julie) of Jacksonville FL; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Borchers and Eleanor Halley (Harry); her friends, Charles and Karol Edwards, Selma Weil, Linda Sweat, and Bobby Phillips (Sheila). Special thanks to Hospice Savannah, Dr. Julia Johnson, and nurse Emma who always had time to help with her care. Also, a special thanks to her caregivers, Carolyn Milton, Gwen Robertson of Handle with Loving Care, and Bernice Roberson. They will always be remembered for the great care they gave Von.
